Tehran (IP) - The Health Minister noted how educational and academic activities were not interrupted despite the disease, and shortages must be eliminated soon.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at the official start of the new academic year of Iran's Medical-Science Universities ceremony Bahram Eynolahi expressed hope that the new academic year would be a great scientific leap.

"With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the strengths and weak points of the educational section are tangible, so weak points should be removed," Eynolahi pointed out.

"The coronavirus has created great capacities to continue education in cyberspace," Eynohali added.

"90% of teachers and students are vaccinated, and classes should be held both in-person and online," Eynolahi noted.

Education and research must meet the needs of the people, said the Minister adding: "Knowledge-based companies and science technology parks must also be expanded so that we can provide an passionate environment for students."

The beginning Academic Year of the country's Medical- Science Universities and higher education institutions ceremony was held on Saturday, Sep.25, 2021, in the presence of the Health Minister, Bahram Eynolahi, under full compliance with hygienic protocols.
