Iran Press/Middle East: On the congress, which was held to honor victims of US-style human right on Saturday evening, director of Foundation of Martyrs and Veteran’s Affair Saeed Ohadi referred to Sardashat chemical bombing as the most catastrophic event by Saddam regime and said that they dropped more than 8000 tons of bombs on Iranian people.
In this ceremony also the governor-general of West Azarbayjan Mohammad Mahdi Shahriyari delivered his speech through video conference saying that Sardasht people are among the most oppressed people in the world and the Islamic Republic of Iran does its best to solve the problems of people in Sardasht.
He went on to say that this day must remain in the world’s mind as a document of global arrogance.
At the end of this ceremony, some martyr’s families were awarded.
Also, an exhibition called ”Red Source” was inaugurated on the sideline of this ceremony.
