Iran Press/ Middle East: As violent protests erupted in Lebanon and some rioters attacked government buildings, the US Embassy in Beirut seized the opportunity to destabilize Lebanon.
The US Embassy in Beirut has implicitly stated in a statement that the Lebanese people deserve responsible leadership without condemning the protesters.
The Americans also said in a statement that the Lebanese expected a government that would listen to them and responds to their demands clearly.
Protesters (affiliated to March 14 Alliance) stormed government offices and banks in Beirut on Saturday, killing at least a policeman and wounding 180 others.
The city of Beirut has been witnessing protests against the living conditions and the recent explosion in Beirut port since Saturday evening.
Last Tuesday evening, a massive explosion took place in a warehouse containing 2,700 tons of ammonium nitrate in Beirut port.
More than 158 people have been killed and more than 6,000 injured in the blast, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
