Iran Press/ Iran news: Asked about the US Secretary of State's remarks that Iran was not serious about returning to its JCPOA commitments, and that is why they ended this round of talks, Saeed Khatibzadeh said: "It's better for the United States to live up to its commitments instead of shrugging off responsibility and blaming Iran."
He also commented on the remarks of Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, who called on world powers to put pressure on Iran, saying: "The sad thing of the history is that these statements are made by a regime's officials who claim to have nuclear warheads and are not a member of any international monitoring regime and have not accepted safeguards. These remarks are completely baseless, and the person who makes these remarks is dishonorable and we are not going to waste our time by answering."
Iran does not allow the United States to blame
The Foreign Ministry spokesman also said: "In Vienna, we are negotiating on the basis of the drafts we gave to lift the sanctions and how to stop Iran's compensatory measures, so that the other side did not find any objections in the Iranian texts."
"The next round of the talks will start this weekend and the exact date will be finalized in the talks between Bagheri and Mora, "the spokesman said, noting, "It is important that the other side comes up with specific proposals, as Iran does. It is a misconception that the other side only makes media statements and blames."
He added: "We are not in a hurry and we will not allow anyone to waste our time and energy in Vienna. The team will leave Tehran with a determination for reaching a good agreement and we hope that the other side will come with the same determination."
Khatibzadeh also stated: "The Iranian delegation entered Vienna with interaction and flexibility, but the other side was not like that. We are waiting to receive the other party's opinion about the two documents."
France rises to sell arms in the region
Khatibzadeh also referred to French President Macron's visit to the countries of the Persian Gulf and the sale of weapons to them and said: "We expect countries like France to act more responsibly. The sale of billions of dollars of advanced weapons of European countries, including France, to the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, is the basis of the unrest and wars, an example of which is taking place in Yemen. The destructive role of countries like France should not be ignored."
"We are witnessing the sale of tens of billions of dollars worth of advanced weapons to the countries of the Persian Gulf, but they are meeting and talking about some of our missiles," he said.
"From now on Iran is not talking about its security with anyone, and with the situation that we see with the sale of weapons, we will complete our defense shield seriously. In the hope that one day these countries will move away from the double standard and stop selling weapons."
