Belgrade (IP) - Iran's ambassador to Bulgaria said that in order to make any change, the United States needs to reconsider its macro-policies towards the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran PressEurope: In an interview with the Bulgarian newspaper ‘24 Chasa’, Mohammad-Javad Rasouli-Mahallati stated that if the United States decides to stop its destructive behavior against Iran, regardless of who is in the White House, it will pave the way for a return to the principles outlined in JCPOA and the cooperation envisaged in it.

The Iranian ambassador to Bulgaria also condemned the normalization of relations between some Persian Gulf countries and the Zionist regime and said Iran's policy against the illegitimate Israeli regime is a principled policy based on opposition to occupation, aggression, and racism and support for the Palestinian people.

Rasouli-Mahallati noted that Iran believes in synergy and peaceful coexistence with the countries of the Persian Gulf region in order to ensure lasting peace and security in the region and is committed to the fight against terrorism, extremism, and any kind of insecurity.

Regarding the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a prominent Iranian nuclear and defense scientist, he pointed out that the traces of Israel in this terrorist act are evident and said the history of the Zionist regime in assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists and the manner in which these assassinations were carried out has led everyone to be convinced that Israel carried out this terrorist operation.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, head of Iran's Ministry of Defense's Research and Innovation Organization, was assassinated on November 27 in a terrorist attack around Tehran.
