Iran Press/ Iran news: Addressing the reporters on Monday, Saeed Khatibzadeh pointed to the Vienna talks on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and said most of the issues had been resolved, and some remain unresolved.
Khatibzadeh pointed out: "What everyone in Iran agrees on is that, first, US sanctions must be lifted effectively and, second, the requests beyond the nuclear agreement have nothing to do with the deal."
"It has been repeatedly stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran will resume its full obligations to the JCPOA as soon as the nuclear deal is fully implemented and verified by the other parties," he added.
Still, in response to a question over the formation of the Lebanese cabinet, the spokesman said Iran does not interfere in the internal affairs of any country and would respect any decision made by the Lebanese.
He expressed hope that Lebanon's cabinet was formed as soon as possible.
The United States, under former president Donald Trump, left the multilateral 2015 nuclear deal - officially known as JCPOA signed between Iran and the P5+1 group of countries in May 2018 and restored the economic sanctions that the accord had lifted in addition to imposing new non-nuclear ones.
Tehran responded to the breach by taking a raft of remedial nuclear measures under the JCPOA’s Paragraph 36.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has insisted that it would go back on its steps once the US removed all the sanctions in one step and Iran verified them.
