Iran Press/Asia: Speaking at the 18th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Faisal Meghdad regretted that the US and European countries were not serious about their willingness to fight terrorism.
"The United States and Europe neglect the issue of combating terrorism and they deal with it selectively," he added. "This indicates that they lack the political will to fight this phenomenon."
He stressed that the fight against terrorism should not become an excuse to interfere in the affairs of other countries.
"The solution to the Syrian crisis must be based on dialogue and without foreign interference to achieve the ultimate goal of preserving Syria's territorial unity and integrity," he continued.
The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) is a forum of 120 developing world states that are not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc. After the United Nations, it is the largest grouping of states worldwide.
