Iran Press/ America: Carried out on 3 January 2024, the terrorist act resulted in the grievous loss of more than 95 lives, including children and women, and has left 211 others injured, some in critical condition.
The members of the Security Council expressed their sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The UNSC reaffirmed that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security.
In an official statement on Thursday evening, the (ISIS) terrorist group, or the so-called ISIS claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack that happened in Kerman Province, southeastern Iran.
They underlined the need to hold perpetrators, organizers, financiers, and sponsors of these reprehensible acts of terrorism accountable and bring them to justice.
The statement urged all States, following their obligations under international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, to cooperate actively with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as all other relevant authorities in this regard. 219
