Iran Press/Iran news: President Pezeshkian said that the Israeli regime committed the most heinous crimes against Palestinians because of disunity among Muslims and called for true and practical unity among Muslims.

The 38th International Islamic Unity Conference kicked off in Tehran with the attendance of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and more than a hundred Shia and Sunna scholars across the world.

President Pezeshkian stressed the need for unity and cohesion among Muslims and warned that enemies constantly hatch plots to create divisions and differences among Muslims for their own sake.

Iranian President said that Iran's approach is that we must join hands as the unity and cohesion among Muslims increase our power.

“We must practice tolerance and show the Islamic unity in reality” he underlined.

He attached prime importance to the notions of peace and unity among Muslim countries, advising all Muslims to put aside differences. If Muslim countries stand shoulder to shoulder, they can foil the plots of the foes, he stated.

Commenting on the the ongoing war in Gaza that has killed over 41,250 Palestinians, Pezeshkian said that the Israeli regime keeps killing the elderly, children, and women. The regime has committed crimes because Muslims are not united enough to counter it, he noted.

The 38th edition of the conference entitled "Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values with an Emphasis on Palestine Issue" opened at the Islamic Conference Hall on Thursday morning, September 19.
