Vienna (IP) - Permanent Representative of Russia to International Organizations in Vienna tweeted that Iran had shown a great deal of pragmatism at the JCPOA Joint Commission meeting, adding that this was necessary for the other participants in the Vienna talks.

Iran PressEurope: Mikhail Ulyanov wrote on his Twitter account: "I have reasons to believe that Iran showed a lot of pragmatism at the Joint Commission meeting today."

 

Permanent Representative of Russia to International Organizations in Vienna added: "The same is required from all other participants in the Vienna talks."

He highlighted," Through joint pragmatic efforts we have a real chance to succeed."

Russia's top diplomat further explained that the Vienna talks would proceed from drafts elaborated by June 20 ( the end of the sixth round). But the new Iranian ideas must be discussed appropriately and thoroughly considered. This is an edict in multilateral diplomacy."

The JCPOA Joint Commission meeting, which was held in the presence of representatives of Iran, the P4 + 1, and the European Union at the Coburg Hotel to discuss Iran's proposed draft texts, has ended, and it was decided to continue discussions on the proposed drafts texts at various levels.

The meeting is in fact the continuation of the seventh round of talks to lift the US sanctions, which began last Monday (November 29) in Vienna.

On Thursday, the participants of the JCPOA Joint Commission meeting discussed how to continue the talks. Explaining the basics of Iran's proposals, Ali Bagheri-Kani, Iran's chief negotiator in the Vienna talks, stressed the country's seriousness and goodwill in the talks.

At the meeting, it was decided to continue discussions on drafts at various levels.
