Russia's Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov censored the former US National Security Advisor John Bolton's remarks regarding the assassination of Lt. Gen. Soleimani.

Iran Press/Europe: In a tweet on Wednesday, Ulyanov repudiated the comments of John Bolton, who considered the murder of foreign authorities in third countries constitutional, such as the case of General Soleimani.

The Russian diplomat reacted to the statements of former US National Security Adviser John Bolton, who considered the application of the US Constitution the murder of the commander of the Quds Force of the Guardians of the Revolution Corps. Islamic (IRGC) of Iran, Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, in Iraq.

Through a message on Tuesday on his Twitter account, Bolton expressed anger at the statements of the United Nations special rapporteur on Selective Murders and Extrajudicial Executions, Agnes Callamard, who described the selective murder of the Iranian general as 'illegal' and criticized the silence of the international community in this regard.

"The new criticisms of the UN (United Nations Organization) that characterize the attack on Soleimani as 'illegal' are baseless. This is exactly why we withdrew from the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC). We do not respond to a higher power in the UN, nor do we need advice on how to apply the United States Constitution, "Bolton said.

On January 3, the US assassinated Lt. Gen. Soleimani, along with the deputy commander of Al-Hashad Al-Shabi Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and other military personnel, in a drone attack near Baghdad International Airport.

The US Department of Defense confirmed that the terrorist attack was carried out by the direct order of President Donald Trump.

The United Nations Special Rapporteur rejects Washington's argument that the Iranian general represented an imminent threat to the United States and stressed that the attack violated the United Nations Charter.

Callamard plans to present his report on the use of drones in targeted killings (more than half of the report focuses on the "Soleimani case") next Thursday at the CDHNU, of which the US, proclaiming defender of human rights, withdrew in June 2018, to avoid ruling on Israeli crimes.
