IP - The new UK government has announced it will lift the previously imposed suspension of funding for the UN agency for Palestinian refugees.

Iran Press/Europe: British Foreign Secretary David Lammy told the UK Parliament on Friday that the new Labour government will resume funding UNRWA.

UK former conservative government suspended "United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East" (UNRWA) following Israeli regime accusations of the agency's staff cooperation with Hamas.

UN rejected Israeli baseless accusations and ran an independent investigation. UN announced that Israel had not provided credible evidence for its accusations.

After the UN rejected Israeli claims, Japan, Germany, Italy, Australia, and Canada resumed funding to the agency, but the US still banned UNRWA.

According to David Lammy UK is committed to providing $27 million to the agency in new funds.

More than 38,848 people have been killed and 89,459 wounded in Israeli 9-month continued genocides in Gaza.
