Zahra Ershadi, Iran ambassador to the UN

New York (IP) - Iran Ambassador and Deputy Envoy to United Nations, noting that once again we are witness of baseless claims of the Zionist Regime against Iran, stressed: "The ugly face of Zionism, racism, and apartheid can not be whitewashed by cheap rhetoric."

Iran Press/ UN: "The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue its genuine interaction with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and other competent UN human rights mechanisms to collaborate on the protection and promotion of human rights,' Zahra Ershadi addressed the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Iran ambassador, in her statement in the session of the United Nations General Assembly, "Item 69; Report to the Human Rights Council," noted that Iran take a "genuine, non-political" view on human rights based on mutual respect, and dialogue, stressed that "It is an irrefutable fact that the only way to guarantee promotion and protection of human rights is through encouraging dialogue and cooperation based on mutual respect."

Zahra Ershadi criticizes the west approach in targeting independent nations with politically motivated resolutions, said: "These Counter-productive resolutions pose a deadly threat to the cause of human rights."

Ershadi reiterates Iran's call to certain states to refrain from the weaponization of human rights, and double standards said: "Iran will continue its genuine interaction with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and other competent UN human rights mechanisms to collaborate on the protection and promotion of human rights.

"While we observe our international obligations to help promote and protect human rights globally, we will continue to focus on serving our people, further deepen our truly democratic system of governance and institutionalize our human rights accomplishments," Iran deputy envoy to UN said.

Ershadi refers to the application of unilateral coercive measures by certain states, which is opposite to the UN Charter and international law, said: "Such actions violate human rights by hindering the well-being of the population in the targeted countries, particularly women and children.

"The cruel punitive measures are maliciously designed to hinder people's access to much-needed medicine, like restrictions imposed on Islamic Republic of Iran during the COVID-19 pandemic," an Iran representative in the United Nations General Assembly session said.

"My Government would like to underscore the critical role of the Human Rights Council in confronting and addressing vicious waves of racism, violent extremism, and terrorism. The Human Rights Council has a role in raising global awareness about the imminent and fast mobility of violent extremism and terrorism evil forces, Ershadi emphasized.

Iran envoy addressed the President of the UN Human Rights Council and said: "We heard this morning once again the baseless allegations made by the representative of the Zionist regime against my Country.

"It is no secret that no matter how the child-killer Israeli regime attempts to raise unfounded allegations against Iran, it cannot hide its heinous crimes committed against the innocent Palestinian people daily. The ugly face of Zionism, racism, and Apartheid cannot be whitewashed by cheap rhetoric, Ershadi concluded.
