Preparations are underway for Turkey's snap presidential elections this Sunday .

Turkey's presidential and parliamentary elections, to be held this  Sunday 24 June 2018 , are probably the  most  crucial elections the country has  ever had .Some 56 million Turkish people are reportedly going to vote  both for presidential  as well as parliamentary elections  simultaneously .

So many believe that Turkey's political  line up against each other  together    with   current political situation of the country and  the probable  effect on Turkey future  has added to the importance and significance of the event.

The  political propaganda is also actively  underway as the election draws near: different buses are carrying the political candidates' pictures. Further more, they are followed through other means of communication such as sending texts  ,  internet and even animations ,distributing the brochures and posters as well as face- to- face meeting with the people  of every social class and finally the speeches before public .

Although there are 8 political parties which are competing to win ,it seems that the main contenders are Recep Tayyip Erdo?an ,the current president of Turkey  from AK party , Muharrem ?nce ,candidate  of  the Republican People's Party ,  Meral Ak?ener  candidate of   ?Y? Party and   Selahattin Demirta? the candidate of .Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP)

However the findings of the recent polls suggest that the snap elections might end up with the runoff. It also suggests that the ruling party is going to lose majority in the Turkish parliament.

On Sunday, under the ongoing state of emergency, Turkish voters head to the polls for unprecedented snap elections. The results will determine two outcomes: a president with strong executive powers and a parliament with relatively reduced powers.

This new "Turkish-style" presidential system was hatched from constitutional reforms adopted in April 2017. The referendum resulted in a 51-49% margin in favour of the "yes" campaign to overhaul parliamentary powers.
