Iran Press/America: US President Donald Trump after keeping a civil tone on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, slammed the Speaker of the House over his recent impeachment.
Late on Christmas night, Trump tweeted and then deleted two tweets about impeachment, calling House Speaker Nancy Pelosi "Crazy Nancy" and wrote that "Dems want to run Republican majority Senate."
"Why should Crazy Nancy Pelosi, just because she has a slight majority in the House, be allowed to impeach the President of the United States?" he wrote. "Got ZERO Republican votes, there was no crime, the call with Ukraine was perfect, with ‘no pressure.'"
With the House vote last week, Trump became the third U.S. president to be impeached. He impeached for abusing his power and obstructing Congress.
The House and the Senate are currently in a stalemate over how to proceed with the impeachment.
Pelosi said she won't send the articles over to the Senate until it sets up fair rules for the trial, while the Senate is waiting on the House to pick impeachment managers first.
