Iran Press/ Iran news: The meeting was attended by the Governor-General of Mazandaran province, Ahmed Hosseinzadegan, who chaired the meeting, top managers of IRIB of Mazandaran and cultural heritage department of the province, and also managing director of Iran Press, Abbas Mohammadnejad, who is also the executive secretary of ECO Media Union (ECOMU).
An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also attended the meeting, Iran Press reported.
The Summit of the Heads of Radio and TV Channels of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states is scheduled to be held on 2 - 3 November 2019 at Ramsar, Mazandaran province in northern Iran.
On the sidelines of the summit, a Tourism Investment Opportunities session, as well as an exhibition of handicrafts, medicinal herbs, and fisheries, are being held aimed at introducing the capabilities of Mazandaran province.
Calling Mazandaran as the tourism capital of ECO member states, Hosseinzadegan said: "The Iranian Media including multi-language media bear the responsibility of introducing the attractions of Mazandaran province to the peoples of the countries of the region."
Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Republic of Azerbaijan are the 10 ECO member states.
