Iran Press/Iran news: In a press conference on Monday, Iran's government spokesman, Ali Rabiei said that in no era of time the White House has mobilized against Iranian nation and government as it has done so now along with the Israeli regime.
Referring to the role Mohammad Javad Zarif and the Iranian Foreign Ministry play in international meetings, Rabiei said that such a country like the US with the strongest economy and military power has never seen such a president as Donald Trump.
The Iranian government spokesman named Thursday, Aug 01, 2019, as the Day of Diplomacy, on the occasion of US sanctioning of Zarif.
The US government on Thursday, August 1, imposed sanctions on the Iranian foreign minister.
The US move simply ratchets up tensions and effectively closes the door to all forms of diplomacy.
Many countries, international organizations and international media have opposed the slapping of sanctions on Zarif, saying this US move is illogical, unhelpful, unlikely to resolve anything, and would only heighten tensions further. 104/215
