Budapest(IP)- Iran's Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs,in his trip to Hungary met with his Hungarian counterpart and stressed strengthening bilateral relations.

Iran PressEurope: Seyyed Ehsan Khandouzi, Iran's Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, who traveled to Hungary to meet and talk with Hungarian officials, on the first day of his stay in Budapest, met with Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mihály Varga and discussed and exchanged views on strengthening bilateral relations.

In this meeting, which was held at the building of the Ministry of Finance of Hungary, the two sides emphasized the importance of promoting economic, financial and banking cooperation and evaluated the exchange of political and economic delegations as a strong support for the ever-increasing strengthening of relation

Iran's Minister of Economy, by explaining the political and international views and expressing the economic, commercial and financial cooperation capacities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized the will of the Iranian authorities to strengthen the bilateral relations more.

 He considered the bilateral relations, including the meetings and discussions between the ministers of foreign affairs, economy, finance and agriculture of the Iranian side with their Hungarian counterparts and the holding of the third joint economic commission as a sign of Iran's determination to strengthen relations with Hungary.

In this meeting, Mihály Varga, in a statement referring to recent international developments, described the imposition of unfair sanctions as a cause of instability and destruction of understandings and cooperation between countries, while emphasizing strengthening peace and resolving issues through negotiations, he emphasized the importance of bilateral relations between Hungary and Iran.

He added: "In this situation, it is very gratifying that the relations between the two countries are based on the strong will of the politicians of both sides. "

The Minister of Finance of Hungary assessed the holding of a series of joint commissions between the two countries as a sign of the dynamism of relations and called for the removal of existing obstacles and the implementation of the agreements of the previous commissions.

Referring to his trip to Tehran in 2017, he said that Iran has many possibilities, and relations with Iran should be adjusted and promoted to the extent and merit of that country.

In this meeting, it was decided that in the spring of 1402 (2023), the head and officials of the Hungarian Tax and Customs Organization would have a discussion and exchange of views with their Iranian counterparts in Tehran.
