Kabul (IP) – The Taliban held a street celebration in Kabul to mark Afghanistan's first anniversary of seizing power.

Iran PressAsia: On August 15, 2021, the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan by entering Kabul; in the meantime, Ashraf Ghani, the then Afghan president, fled by helicopter.

A few days before the arrival of Taliban forces in Kabul, US military forces left Afghanistan at night after 20 years of occupation.

On Monday, the Taliban forces and their supporters held a street parade in Kabul and other parts of Afghanistan.

After gaining power, the Taliban announced a general amnesty. They emphasized that it would take a different approach from the previous government of Afghanistan, but many international organizations and Afghans criticized the performance of the Taliban government.
