Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) in a message late on Friday appreciated public turnout in rallies in support of the council’s recent decisions against dishonoured promises of parties to the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA).

Iran Press/Iran news: Main asset of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of threats and crises is public support and the strong bond that exists between the people and officials, Ali Shamkhani said.

Undoubtedly, meaningful and knowingly presence of the fasting people in the massive rallies nationwide in support of the US government’s violation of JCPOA and EU’s passivity regarding the deal is the main message to the people subjected to Iran’s new measures, Shamkhani added, Iran Press reported.

The Iranians took to the streets on Friday to show their support for the Iranian Supreme National Security Councils position over the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The remaining parties to the nuclear deal have been given 60 days to implement their commitments under the JCPOA, particularly those relating to banking and the oil sector. Failure to do so will prompt the Islamic Republic to stop complying with restrictions on the level of uranium enrichment and the modernization of Arak heavy water reactor, the statement added.

The move came exactly a year to the day US President Donald Trump withdrew America from the accord.101/202
