Isfahan (IP) - The sixth round of the International Army Games began in the city of Shahinshahr, Isfahan province, with four teams from Iran, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

Iran PressIran News: Brigadier General Abbas Fallah, the Deputy Coordinator of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said today at the opening ceremony of the competition: "The purpose of holding this competition is to develop peace, friendship and increase cultural interactions between participating countries."

The tournament is a good opportunity to share the experiences of the world's armies, said Col Aref Jan Ahmedov, a representative of the Uzbek team.

Holding competitions is about sharing experiences and transmitting culture, said Vietnam Representative Colonel Jianghu.

Boris Burmistrov, Consul-General of the Russian Federation in Isfahan, said that the tournament started seven years ago in Russia and the participants were Iran, Russia, Uzbekistan, China, and Vietnam. This course is being held with 730 participants, he said.

The sixth edition of the International Army Games in the field of "Lords of Weapons" will be held from today until September 2 in Shahinshahr, Isfahan.
