Shiraz (IP) - Shiraz Week in the national calendar of Iran starts on May 5th, and various programs are implemented to introduce the tourist and scenic attractions of Shiraz, the capital of Fars province.

Persepolis's ancient complex was registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979 and is one of the important tourist attractions of Fars province.

Persepolis is a part of Iran's ancient history and culture, built by order of Darius the Great in 518 BC.

With an area of ​​about 125,000 square meters, the ancient complex of Persepolis is one of the unique masterpieces of Achaemenid architecture in the world.

The presence of the people of Shiraz, different provinces of Iran, and tourists in the tourism and historical-ancient complex of Persepolis during Shiraz Week is remarkable.

With the management and control of COVID-19 in Iran, tourism has flourished again, and Shiraz is hosting tourists these days.

On the occasion of Shiraz week, the camping and caravan group of the Tourism and Automobile Association of Iran held its fourth conference in Shiraz, next to the Persepolis structure.

Sohrab Golbanafesh, head of the National Camping and Caravaning Group, told IranPress in Shiraz that the group center is 86 years old and is a collection of tourist cars in Iran.

The head of the National Camping and Caravaning Group added that the main approach of the Group has been to make people interested in this model of travel and tourism, and it has had a significant impact.

About 200 cars from all over Iran attended the 4th National Conference on Camping and Caravaning on the occasion of Shiraz Week with their families for the purpose of tourism in Shiraz and visiting Persepolis.
