The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said the US wants others not to buy Iran's heavy water, so that Iran's stock of heavy water breaches the limit set under the nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Ali Akbar Salehi said Iran's stock of heavy water for reactors has been limited to 130 tons and the extra amount must be purchased by other countries according to the JCPOA.

"However, the Americans are trying to hinder our sale of heavy water, in order to pressure the Islamic Republic on the pretext of breaching the deal," Ali Akbar Salehi added.

He went to add, "Although we have about 132 tons of heavy water right now, we are delivering the surplus amount to our customers in accordance with our commitment."

"That's not our problem if no one purchases our heavy water" he concluded.
