Moscow (IP) - Permanent Representative of Russia to International Organizations in Vienna criticized the European Troika's position regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran Press/Europe: Permanent Representative of Russia to International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov wrote in a Twitter message on Friday that E-3 continues to advocate for a "JCPOA plus agreement.”

"The position of the new US administration in this regard, as it is articulated by senior officials, seems to be more realistic: First, restore full implementation of the nuclear deal with Iran and then address other issues," Ulyanov added in the Tweet.

Given Trump's anti-Iranian policies and the US withdrawal from the JCPOA, Germany, France, and Britain have insisted on maintaining the nuclear deal and tried to prevent the destruction of the pact.

But with the announcement of the US presidential election results and the victory of Joe Biden, the European troika took a different stance than during the Trump era.

During this period, they spoke of a more comprehensive agreement with Iran. Germany seems to have played a more active role than France and Britain in this regard.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stressed last week that the issue of Tehran's ballistic missile program is "non-negotiable", noting that Biden is "well aware of it."
