Iran Press/ Europe: During the meeting held at the Russian Foreign Ministry on Monday, the two sides emphasized the importance of continuing close cooperation between Iran, Russia and Turkey within the framework of the Astana process.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday at a joint news conference with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, that the two sides have agreed to a ceasefire in Idlib, Syria, Iran Press reported.
According to Putin, Moscow and Ankara have reiterated their interest in continuing to work within the framework of the Astana process on Syria and have agreed to conduct joint patrols in nearby settlements in Idlib to monitor the de-escalation zone.
Russian, Turkish leaders reach agreement in Moscow last Thursday on easing tensions in Syria's Idlib, though the Russian Defense Ministry says that terrorists have repeatedly violated the cease-fire in recent days.
