Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, speaking on Wednesday at the meeting of the cabinet said, “We must deal with unemployment and Coronavirus at the same time. If we make the work well, we can change the situation in favor of people."
"Corona is a problem for all countries in the world, and the whole world is affected by. If the people, government and all the forces and elements of the country cooperate together, we will be successful to counter the virus," he added.
No medical care problem or hygiene items need in Iranian
Iranian President noted to the many reports of hospital beds' shortage or lack of nurses and doctors in some western countries and stated that “In Iran, we do not have a single case in the past months that anyone goes to the hospital and was returned back home or not hospitalized due to financial poverty or not having enough beds in hospitals.”
President Rouhani further stated that most of the hygiene items needed are also available to the people and there is no problem with disinfectants, "but in some cases, such items like masks, there may not be enough, which will be solved in the coming weeks by increasing production."
During the meeting of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani appreciated the Central Bank, Customs and Transportation systems and said: “Although nationwide traffic has been decreased due to health orders, but truck transportations in March are higher than in the previous years for providing basic foods and materials to meet people’s daily needs”.
Economic growth will be positive in the current year
President added, "In the agricultural, we are in the better situation to the previous years. It is predicted that 14 million tons of wheat will be produced. Also it is predicted that rice production will be at 2.6 million tons and sugar production will be at 1.7 million tons."
“Lake Urmia has returned to its original condition at 10 years ago and we have big projects in water and soil field that will be opened in the near future,” Rouhani added.
President Rouhani stated: “Our situation is good this year, we don't let those enemies publicize that last year the situation of Iran was bad and this year it is worse."
He concluded:" last year economic growth was positive without oil, this year economic growth will be positive. We have the problems of sanctions and corona, but the dire conditions that the foreign media show are completely false and baseless.”
