Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking at Iran's Supreme Council for Cultural Revolution Iran's President Hassan Rouhani expressed his happiness over the measures taken by the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution for making it possible to hold such meetings, saying:
In the time that has passed since the outbreak of corona in our country, we have organized all the meetings with the coordination and permission of the National Task Force for Combating Corona, and this meeting, which was attended by some members and some of whom participated in a video conference, was organized with the permission of the Corona Task force .
Rouhani also welcomed the newly elected Speaker of Iran's parliament Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf who was attending the event for the first time.
Referring to the fact that the event has been held at the night of Martyrdom anniversary of Sixth Shia Imam, Imam Jafar Sadeq (AS) Rouhani stressed the importance of culture and pointed out that the Islamic Revolution had a cultural origin and the Islamic system continues in the shadow of the same cultural movement, saying: This faith and perseverance is in the shadow of the same school of thought that grew up under the supervision of Imam Sadeq (AS).
Referring to the special situation in Iran today, the President said: "Today, despite all efforts, the people are facing problems and pressures in their lives, and of course no one thought that with the pressures and sanctions that began in early 2018 the nation will be able to withstand the growing pressure for three years.
"Despite all the pressure, the people have worked hard and resiliently, and they have shown that when we pull together, even if the heavy pressure of sanctions is accompanied by the severe effects of corona we can run the country well", the president said.
