Iran Press/ Iran News: Hassan Rouhani on Thursday ordered the opening of the projects through a video conference with Fars province. The projects were South Aluminum Company (SALCO), Sardar Delavar Shahid Haj Qasem Soleimani Sports Complex, a new hospital in Lamerd and a new terminal for Lamerd Airport were the projects.
The President was also briefed by Fars Governor-General Enayatollah Rahimi and local managers on various projects in Fars Province.
At the ceremony, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani thanked all those involved in the implementation and operation of these projects and said: "In the year of 'Surge in Production', we will do our best to put Supreme Leader's motto into practice".
Hassan Rouhani said: "I am confident that the rest of our organs, the armed forces, and the private sector will work to achieve this, and I hope that we will be able to open other projects alternately this year as much as possible."
At the beginning of the ceremony on Thursday, Iranian President inaugurated an aluminum plant in Fars province and said: "Although the US sanctions have created many problems Iran has improved its ranking in the production of many metals, including copper and aluminum."
"Fars province is going to become a hub of mineral industries," the president underscored.
Rouhani described the impact of JCPOA on the opening of this aluminum complex as very important and said: "Sometimes people are not aware of all the effects of JCPOA and it is important to know that in the oil and gas industry, meaning industries, etc., we have made great progress due to the JCPOA agreement and the $ 1 billion aluminum plant is also the result of Iran's nuclear deal known as JCPOA."
Referring to the successful efforts of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) to launch a satellite, the President praised their efforts and emphasized: "This shows the value of all efforts in these difficult times".
Hassan Rouhani stated: "This work done by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps showed the world that despite the hardships and economic problems caused by a coronavirus, our production and construction activities will continue".
The President also called the operation of Lamerd's Shahid Soleimani Sports Complex a very valuable step and said" "It is gratifying for the people of this region that their servants have more than doubled the sports space in Fars province during these 7 years."
During the inauguration ceremony of South Aluminum Company (SALCO), the President described the report on the country's exceptional developments in the field of mineral industries very promising and said, "Leading Iran from the 18th to the 14th place in aluminum production and 10th in steel and 15ht in copper production is very important".
Rouhani continued to thank all the experts, engineers and workers who are working for the development of Islamic Iran, and said: "One of the honors of the government is that we have increased the production of aluminum by 100%, which is a 72% increase for the same unit, the first phase of which in fact opened today".
South Aluminum Company in Lamerd, Fars Province, is constructed on an area of ??200 hectares with an annual production capacity of 300,000 tonnes of aluminum ingots and enjoys a 430-kiloamperes technology (NEUI).
Rouhani said: "In general, a lot of work has been done in this complex. In this government, this project began in 2015 and is inaugurated today after 4 years".
Pointing to the inauguration ceremony of Lamerd's new 124-bed hospital, the president stressed that the presence of donors in important projects related to people's health and lives is very important, adding: "Inauguration of 8,000 new hospital beds by the end of this year is a cause for happiness."
Emphasizing that efforts have been made in the field of the country's medical network, especially the health network throughout the country after the revolution, the president said, "I would like to thank the medical staff and in fact all those who are working for ensuring people's health all over the country, especially Fars province, as well as the medical staff of Lamerd region, who are doing a great job these days."
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new terminal of Lamerd Airport, the President expressed satisfaction with the opening of this airport project and said: "God willing, 20 important airport projects will be inaugurated in the country by the end of the year."
