Iran Press/ Iran news: The conference gathered Muslim and Christian intellectuals, along with esteemed guests from 55 countries worldwide, including the respected families of the martyrs of the terrorist attack on the Holy Shrine of Shah Cheragh, families of martyrs from law enforcement forces, the family of the late martyr General Qasem Soleimani and the family of martyr Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan.
According to Mohammad Moghimi, the head of the University of Tehran and the secretary of the conference, the secretariat received 240 articles from 17 countries. The meeting coincided with the Disclosure of American Human Rights Week, and a selection of these articles received special recognition.
During the ceremony, Sadegheh Hajazi, an expert on cultural issues, brought attention to the violation of women's rights in the United States, stating, "One out of every four women in America experiences violence, and among them, 325,000 are pregnant women annually."
Mohammad Hosseini, the Vice-President for Parliamentary Affairs, highlighted a significant incident that exposed the true face of American human rights to the world. He referred to July 3, 1988, when an Iranian passenger plane traveling from Bandar Abbas to Dubai was targeted by American naval forces in the Persian Gulf waters near the island of "Hengam." Tragically, more than 290 people, including passengers and crew members of all ages and genders, lost their lives.
He also reflected on the historical roots of American human rights abuses, noting, "The birth of America has been tainted by the brutal massacre of Native Americans."
Zainab Soleimani, the daughter of the late martyr General Qasem Soleimani, expressed her perspective during the conference, highlighting the assassination of freedom-loving individuals as one of America's crimes. She emphasized that the events surrounding the CIA-orchestrated 1953 coup d'état demonstrate that American human rights abuses in Iran extend beyond the Islamic Revolution.
Furthermore, she stated, "The assassination of General Soleimani, a commander who successfully declared the defeat of ISIS terrorist group in the region, and the admission of Americans to this crime, has brought shame upon them on the world stage."
