Iran Press/ Iran news: The 30th meeting of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Iran and Japan was held in Tehran.
The delegations of the two countries, headed by Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran's political deputy Foreign minister, and Yamada Shigeo, Senior Deputy Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, discussed and examined various issues in the relations between Iran and Japan in light of global developments.
According to Iran Press, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, referring to the various capacities for cooperation between the two countries said: "The promotion of cooperation between Tehran and Tokyo, in addition to securing the interests of the two nations, creates a platform for peace and stability and does not threaten the interests of any party."
Bagheri Kani, referring to the recent crimes committed by the Israeli regime in the occupied territories, emphasized the necessity of taking deterrent measures by all governments, especially Western governments, and said: "The clear condemnation of these crimes is the least action that can be taken in defense of the oppressed Palestinian people and the liberation of human rights from the captivity of the interests and policies of several Western powers."
In this meeting, the Senior Deputy Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, emphasizing the friendship between the two nations and relations based on mutual respect between the governments of Iran and Japan, pointed out the capacities of promoting bilateral relations and said: "Japan is determined to expand and consolidate its ties with Iran in the regional and international arenas beyond bilateral relations."
