Iran Press/Iran news: Addressing the Friday prayers sermon in Tehran, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahhedi Kermani said, "The enemies thought they could overthrow the Islamic Revolution, but the resistance of our revolutionary nation caused the US grandeur, arrogance and pomposity to collapse."
"The emphasis of the Leader of Islamic Revolution on resistance and non-submission to the enemy has been a blessing to Islamic Iran. Among these blessings is Iran's resistance to arrogant excesses, and of course the many victories we have achieved and managed to maintain the revolution," Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani added.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Tehran provisional Friday prayers leader hailed the Yemeni nation's resistance against the Saudi-led aggressors, which has made them retreat from their positions, saying the victory will finally be for the Yemenis, Mehr news agency reported.
Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani said, "Yemeni nation’s praiseworthy resistance against the perpetrators has made the US, Saudi Arabia and their allies’ retreat from their positions against the war-torn country."
The senior cleric hailed the concept of resistance as a key factor to overcome the aggressors, saying deterring the terrorists in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine and Yemen, and preventing the US and its allies from attacking Iran are among the results of resistance in regional countries.
Ayatollah Movahedi Kermani referred to the recent developments in the Indian controlled Kashmir and urged the Delhi government to stop its “heinous actions” against Kashmir Muslims, because such behavior will benefit neither India nor the region.
Tensions have been running high in Kashmir since Monday, when New Delhi revoked Article 370, a constitutional provision that had come into effect in 1949 and grants special status to Kashmir, allowing it to have its own flag and constitution, among other rights.
