A B-52 bomber belonging to US military in Afghanistan crashed in southern province of Helmand, report said.

Iran Press/Asia: Taliban has claimed responsibility for targeting bomber saying it has targeted the plane and all US crews on board have been killed, Fars News Agency reported.

According to the Taliban, B-52 bomber plane has crashed in Washir district in the west of Helmand Province.

No comment issued from Afghan or US officials in Afghanistan.

In another military incident in Afghanistan, Afghan Minister of Defense and NATO Resolute Support announced that one fighter belonging to Afghanistan's Army and one Nato fighter drone have crashed in southern Afghanistan on Wednesday.

According to the Afghan Minister of Defense, an MD-530 fighter has crashed when returning to Kandahar from a training mission.

The statement said that the crash has been due to a technical problem.

Also, an unmanned aerial vehicle of coalition forces crashed in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan, according to Afghan's Khaama Press News Agency's informed military sources.

The drone crashed earlier today after experiencing engine failure.

“One of our unmanned aircraft experienced engine failure and crashed in Helmand province today. We are working to recover it,” the sources said.

The War in Afghanistan started by United States invasion on 7 October 2001. The US terrorist Army was supported by NATO. The one of claimed war's aims was removing the Taliban from power and bring the peace to the country.

After 18 years, US and NATO have been unable to bring peace to Afghanistan, but also their military presence in Afghanistan is the main reason for increasing violence and killings. 101/205
