Iran Press/Asia: The public relations office of the provincial government of Nangarhar announced that 19 people were also injured in the explosions that took place in Jalalabad on Saturday.
According to the office's statement, the two consecutive explosions occurred at about 10:00 a.m. local time, in which three people were killed, two of whom are a 22- and a 40-year old woman, Xinhua reported.
The statement added that four women and two children are among the 19 people that were injured in the two explosions.
Two of the injured are said to be in a critical condition.
The explosions were caused by two roadside bombs and no group has so far claimed responsibility for the bomb blasts, added the statement.
