Tehran (IP) - In Tehran, the 24th School Building Charity Festival was held on Monday, marking a special occasion to honor the generosity of school builder benefactors in the province.

Iran PressIran News: The festival was aimed at both recognizing the valuable contributions of existing benefactors and attracting new ones to help with school building efforts in Tehran. The event was significant due to its role in expanding the culture of public participation and emphasizing the importance of continuing this important cultural movement.

The 24th School Building Charity Festival of Tehran Province took place on Monday, April 17, 2023.According to reports, the previous year saw 93 schools consisting of 890 classes put into operation, with 30 percent of funding coming from school builder benefactors.

The upcoming Iranian year, 1402, is expected to see the construction of 86 new schools in Tehran Province.At the festival, Hamidreza Khan Mohammadi, the head of the country's school renovation organization, announced plans to open ten thousand classrooms in the current year.

In addition, Naser Ghaffari, the head of the school building benefactors' society, stated that the benefactors' contributions have reached 8,000 billion Tomans this year, double that of last year, according to the charity festivals that have been held.

Overall, the festival served as a reminder of the importance of community involvement in education and the positive impact that can result from charitable contributions towards school building efforts.
