Iran PressIran News:  According to Iran Press, in a meeting with the presidents of the universities on Saturday evening, Iran's President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi considered the universities to be lively and dynamic centers that have been a source of power for the country by generating science and promoting scientific capabilities, in addition, to have defeated the enemies of Iran.

The president stated that science and knowledge are the most important way of guiding and saving human beings while paving the path of human progress, excellence, and reaching happiness.

He added: "The sanctity and respect of the university are for this reason, so it is up to the presidents, professors, students and all the members of the scientific and academic community to focus their efforts on maintaining and promoting the spirit of science and knowledge generation in universities."

Continuing his speech, Raisi considered being active in the political arena as one of the requirements of the university atmosphere and emphasized: "The political nature of the university means that it should know the society and its needs more and better than any other department and align its priorities with the system of the country's issues in order to serve the people."

The president also touched upon the events of recent days in the country, including at the universities, and considered the university to be the best place to discuss the recent events and provide solutions, adding: "The important pre-requisite of these discussions is the correct understanding of the issues. If the issues are not well analyzed or the analyses are influenced by media and cyber atmospheres rather than the truth, the proposed solutions will lead to errors."

Reiterating the important point that today's war is a war of narratives, Raisi emphasized the importance of explaining the true and honest narrative and noted: "The enemies who had tried a lot to stop scientific, industrial, production and service activities in the country as well as to cut off Iran's communications with other countries, when they failed in this regard, they started to plot unrest and sabotage."
