Iran Press/ America: Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi arrived in the Cuban capital on Thursday morning on the last leg of his tour of Latin America.
The Iranian president had already visited Venezuela and Nicaragua in his five-day tour to the Latin American countries.
On Monday morning, the Islamic President of Iran, heading a political and economic delegation, in order to strengthen relations with friendly and equal countries, left for Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba in Latin America, with Caracas being the first destination of the president's five-day trip.
During his official visit to Cuba, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi attended the joint meeting of the high-ranking delegations of the two countries, and proposed forming a joint commission on technological cooperation between the two countries for complementary cooperation in these fields.
Iran's President emphasized that the US and the arrogant powers cannot do anything against the power of independent nations adding: "Cooperation between Iran and Cuba can bring hope to independent nations and despair to the arrogants."
Raisi referred to the resistance of the Iranian nation against sanctions and extensive pressures, adding: "Iran considers relations with independent countries as one of the ways to tackle sanctions".
Raisi also state that there is hope that mutual visits of officials can be effective steps in developing relations between the two countries, the President added: "The activation of the Joint Commission of Economic Cooperation of the two countries can provide faster solutions for implementation of agreements".
At the end of his speech, Raisi stressed that America and bullying powers cannot do anything against independent nations, saying, "Our cooperation in the path to progress can create hope in independent nations and despair in hegemons".
In this meeting, Miguel Diaz-Canel President of Cuba welcomed Raisi to the country and said, "Your visit to Cuba is meaningful and the proof of existence of a set of common values and views between the two countries".
He continued: "The three countries that you chose as destination for your regional trip have a meaningful relation with the Iranian Revolution".The President of Cuba also said, "I am confident that your visit to Cuba will be a turning point in the history of relations between the two countries".
The high-ranking officials of Iran and Cuba signed 6 cooperation documents in the presence of the presidents of the two countries.
