Iran Press/Iran News: Delivering a televised speech on the occasion of the Iranian New Year on Wednesday, Ebrahim Raisi addressed the Iranian nation and said that it was their hope and power that made Iran strong in the world.
Raisi referred to the advancements of the country especially during the past year. He also referred to the JCPOA talks and the Western side's non-commitment to it, noting that the administration neither leaves the negotiating table nor ties the country's advancement to the negotiations and the West's smile.
The attraction of foreign investment was one of the achievements that he highlighted: "You noticed that contracts worth several billion dollars were signed in the oil and gas sectors in recent days. At the same time, the volume of foreign investment, apart from domestic investment, in this administration reached about $11 billion; a definitive investment, not just signed on paper, but definite and valid investment."
Iran's membership in the regional and international bodies including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS, along with the increase in foreign trade with the neighboring countries and, beyond, the Latin American and African countries were among the other achievements of Iran that were neglected before.
Raisi also flashed back to the bitter incidents that happened for Iran including the US-backed sedition in 2022 under the pretext of Mahsa Amini's death and the terrorist attacks on the Iranian people in Shah Cheragh of Shiraz, Mashhad, and recently Kerman as the enemy's plots to compensate its failure in the region, but as always, the Iranian nation showed patience and overcome the plots.
He highlighted the issue of Palestine and what is going on in Gaza:
"In the case of Gaza, we saw another manifestation of resistance against the enemy. The world's arrogant powers gathered all their forces to eliminate the two million free people of Gaza. They provided the Zionists with aid, from the newest and most up-to-date anti-trench bombs to billions of dollars, but they failed."
The recent Iranian elections were another point that President Raisi pointed to as the issue the enemy made attempts to spoil but it faced again the resistance and unity of the Iranian nation in the form of their turn-out.
The Iranian president called on the people and authorities of the Islamic Republic to unite for the prosperity of Iran and the disappointment of the enemies seeking to cast division among the Iranian nation. 204
