Iran Press/ Iran news: About 44 years ago on 13 Ramadan 1399 AH. (August 7, 1978) Imam Khomeini (RA), the founder of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, with a wise view and observed the necessity of a global popular movement for the liberation of Palestine and "the eradication of the cancerous tumor of Israel", named the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the International Quds Day.
Yesterday, Friday, on World Quds Day, the people of Iran and some countries declared their support for the oppressed people of Palestine and their disgust with the usurping Zionist regime by holding mass rallies and gatherings.
In this regard and according to Iran Press news agency, "Nasser Kanaani Chafi", the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, referring to the massive turnout of people in the World Quds Day rallies, tweeted:
" Today’s marches and gatherings in Iran and other parts of the world clearly show that Imam Khomeini’s views about the issue of Palestine have gone global."
Kanaani Chafi stated: " The fake Israeli regime is shakier that ever and the liberation of Palestine is closer than ever. "
Yesterday, Friday, April 14, 2023 (Farvardin 25, 1402), coinciding with 23 Ramadan 1444, was World Quds Day.
