Iran Press/ Iran news: Afshar Fath Elahi, the chairman of the board and CEO of the Free Zone Organization, in a meeting with Chang Hua, the ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Iran, discussed the revival of the current memorandum of understanding between the Qeshm Free Zone (QFZ) and the Guangzhou Free Zone (GFZ).
"In the last nine months, 110 million dollars of goods from China have entered Iran." said the chairman of the board and CEO of the Iran Free Zone Organization.
Fath Elahi called the launching of the Chinese Consulate General in Bandar Abbas a new chapter in the direct communication between the economic activists of Qeshm Island and China.
The Chinese ambassador also said: Iran is one of China's trade partners with a financial exchange of 20 billion dollars per year, and the presence of Chinese investors in Qeshm is an opportunity for the development of production and export of Chinese goods.
Chang Hua called opening the Chinese Consulate General in Bandar Abbas a vital move. He said that facilitating visa issuance and launching weekly flights from Iran to Chinese cities are among the Consulate's priorities.
