Doha (IP) – Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, has reaffirmed that Qatar will not permit its soil or airspace, including the strategic Al Udeid Air Base, to be used for launching attacks on any regional or other countries.

Iran Press/ West Asia: Al Udeid hosts American, British, and Qatari forces and plays a crucial role in regional military operations.

In his recent remarks, Prime Minister Al Thani stopped short of naming any specific country but emphasized Qatar's stance, previously shared with Kuwait, against the use of their territories or airspace by the U.S. for military action, particularly against Iran.

Denouncing Violence in Gaza and Lebanon

Al Thani also condemned the continued genocide by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon, stating that Qatar remains steadfast in its commitment to ending the bloodshed. "The innocent bloodshed in Gaza must stop," he declared, reiterating Qatar's position that a peaceful resolution must be found to the ongoing conflict.

In Lebanon, Qatar's efforts are focused on halting the war. "We have had extensive contacts with Lebanese political leaders," Al Thani said, saying that Israel has been obstructing peace efforts. He reiterated that Doha’s top priority is de-escalation and stability in the region.

Al Udeid Air Base remains the largest U.S. military installation in West Asia, playing a key role in American operations. Other American military aircraft are also stationed at Ali Al Salem and Ahmed Al Jaber Air Bases in Kuwait. Despite its close ties with the U.S. military, Qatar has consistently emphasized its policy of neutrality and its desire to avoid involvement in regional conflicts.
