Qatar has offered US-backed mediation to resolve the maritime border dispute between Lebanon and Israel, informed sources said.

Iran Press / Middle East: The US mediation pertaining the demarcation of the maritime borders between Lebanon and the Zionist entity has not reached any reliable outcomes, Al-Manar sources said on Monday.

The sources added that Qatar has proposed to mediate in order to resolve the maritime border conflict between Lebanon and the Zionist entity.

According to the sources, Lebanon is cautious about the Israeli infringement on the Lebanese rights in the disputable zone, adding that the Lebanese authorities conveyed a threat to the Israeli side in this regard via US diplomacy.

On July 2, Hezbollah deployed three drones to fly over the Karish gas field which lies in the disputable zone.
