Dozens of protesters gathered outside the German embassy in Athens on Friday, demanding that Germany should pay back Greece for a debt which goes back to the Second World War.
Protesters marched from the Greek parliament towards the German embassy, waving Greek flags, and chanting slogans.
The Nazi occupation of Greece from 1940-44 was among the most savage - around 250,000 people died, mostly from starvation.
Massacres include the one at Kalavryta where about 500 people were killed. At issue now is compensation for the killing of 218 civilians in Distomo in 1944.
In 2000, the Greek supreme court ruled Germany should pay € 28 million ($30 million; £19.7 million) to the relatives of those killed.
