Tehran (IP) - The third meeting to analyze maritime-focused development plans, with a particular emphasis on the coastal Makran region, was held this morning (Sunday) under the chairmanship of President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Iran Press/Iran news: The session included reports from various agencies on the progress of goals set in previous meetings, alongside discussions about the structure, role, and operations of the organization responsible for developing the Makran coastline.  

President Pezeshkian highlighted the critical role of a maritime economy in driving development for nations blessed with such resources. He stated, "One of the primary priorities of the 14th government is pursuing and advancing the maritime economy to foster economic growth and development across the country."  

Emphasizing the importance of aligning with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s concerns as outlined in the Vision Document, overarching policies, and development plans, Pezeshkian noted, "Our development programs must be designed with a broad yet realistic perspective to enable us to achieve a leading position in the region in both economy and technology."  

The president reiterated the government's commitment to sustainable development across the country, saying, "We must address the uneven distribution of development projects and prioritize infrastructure initiatives across all regions, from the southeast to the northwest of Iran."
