Tehran (IP) - The President of Tajikistan sent a message to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and congratulated him and the Iranian nation on Eid al-Fitr.

Iran PressIran News: In his congratulatory message on Friday, Emomali Rahmon pointed out that the great ideals of Eid al-Fitr throughout the ages have led our people to follow-worthy spiritual values.

"I am confident that friendly relations and beneficial cooperation in various fields between our countries, based on the stable traditions of Eid al-Fitr, will develop in the future and reach a new level in terms of quality and quantity with joint constructive efforts," The president of Tajikistan stated.

According to the office of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, today is Friday corresponding to the 30th of Ramadan 1444 AH, and tomorrow, Saturday, has been announced as Eid al-Fitr in Iran.

Eid al-Fitr is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide. The event marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.

The advent of Ramadan may vary from country to country depending on the situation of the moon. Since the new moon is not in the same state at the same time globally, the beginning and ending dates of Ramadan depend on what lunar sightings receive in each location.

A number of Islamic countries, including Iraq, Oman and Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maghreb, and Brunei announced Saturday as Eid al-Fitr after the Shawwal crescent was not seen on Thursday.

Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Syria, the UAE, Türkiye, Egypt, Kuwait, Yemen, Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan announced Friday as the first day of Shawwal month and the day of Eid al-Fitr.
