Iran Press/ Iran news: The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei received on Saturday a group of the Islamic countries' envoys and participants in the international Quarn contest in Iran as well as Iranian senior officials.
Speaking at the beginning of the meeting, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi appreciated the Iranian nation's presence in the commemoration of the 44th Islamic Revolution's victory or 22 Bahman (11 February) occasions across Iran.
President Raisi highlighted the constant animosity of the West against Iran, including the scrapping of the JCPOA and the recent foreign-backed unrest, and said:
"Until yesterday, the Westerners claimed to follow the JCPOA agreement, but when they were forced to give up to the Iranian people's demands, they left the negotiation table with the instigation of the unrest.
He said that the people's participation in the supportive rally on the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution's victory held the Iranian authorities more responsible to serve the people.
Iran's international nuclear agreement, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was signed between the country and the P5+1 group, including Russia, China, the UK, France, the US, and Germany in 2015, but the US withdrew from the agreement on May 18, 2018, re-imposing more sanctions on Iran.
