Iran Press/ Iran news: Referring to the 2020 US presidential election, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stated during a cabinet meeting on Wednesday: “We do not care which candidate is to win the 2020 US presidential election. The party is not important to us either. The policies implemented in the next government are important.”
President Rouhani added: “What we want is for the United States to return to all treaties that are international and multilateral. What we want is respect instead of sanctions. Our situation will be different if sanctions are lifted and replaced by respect.”
“If America honors the Iranian nation, the situation will be different. The party and the candidate in the 2020 US presidential election do not matter to us. Considering that the American policies and ethics do not go back on the right track, we have got plans,” President Rouhani noted.
Referring to the situation in the region and Iran's northern and northwestern borders as well as the military conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, President Rouhani stated: "Iran Foreign Ministry has been active in this area, and our armed forces have been very focused on border security, and have monitored the situation and planned well."
"Of course, territorial integrity is the right of the nations of the region and the right of the Republic of Azerbaijan, but we want them to achieve these rights through civilian and non-military means, but at the same time, the basic points are important to us," Rouhani added.
