Poll suggests 2020 Democrats would beat Trump

A new poll in America showed that all top 2020 Democrat candidates would beat the US president Donald Trump, with Biden holding the lead.

Iran PressAmerica: 54 percent of registered voters say that they would vote for former Vice President Joe Biden, while only 38 percent would vote for the US President Donald Trump if the 2020 presidential election were held today, the official website of Quinnipiac University reported.

The results showed that Sen. Bernie Sanders gets 53 percent, Sen. Elizabeth Warren gets 52, followed by California Sen. Kamala Harris with 51 and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg with 49 percent, while President Trump is stuck between 38 and 40 percent of the vote.

Though it is a long 14 months until Election Day, these low numbers are the worst result that a US president has received so far.

It is may partly be explained by a lack of support among voters due to Trump's weak performance in foreign and anti-immigration policies and trade tensions with China and Europe.

However, Trump claimed in a series of tweets on Monday that the news media would pose his biggest challenge in the upcoming 2020 presidential election, saying that our primary opponent is the Fake News Media, not the Democrats.
