Iran Press/Iran news: Thousands of people gathered in the Imam Square (also known as Naghsh-e Jahan Square) of Isfahan, in central Iran on Saturday to commemorate the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, the commander of Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC).
Speaking at the event as the keynote speaker, the senior aide and adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Brigadier-General Yahya Rahim-Safavi talked about the personal characteristics of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, Iran Press reported.
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani assassinated in an airstrike on the Baghdad International Airport in Iraq on early Friday, at the order of US President Donald Trump.
Iranian People across the country on Saturday and Friday held several rallies to condemn the US assassination of the Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.
Today, the Iraqi people have held a funeral procession for the martyred legendary Iranian General Qasem Soleimani as well as the martyred Deputy Chief of Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF), Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, in Kadhimiya.
The body of the martyred Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani will be transferred to Iran after the funeral processions in Iraq. 101/205
