Iran Press/Iran news: The festival took place in 28 booths covering such areas as science, technology, culture, handicrafts, and world cuisine, with culinary delights of various nations ready for testing. The general public, university students from Iran and abroad, and a total of 24 countries took part in the three-day event, from 5 to 7 December 2019.
The aim of the festival was to publicly display and introduce the various cultures, customs, handicrafts, cuisine, and traditions of various nations to a wider public and viewers.
2,200 university students from China, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Turkey, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Ivory Coast, Czech Republic, Mexico, USA, United Kingdom, Russia, and France had participated in the festival.
The special guest at the festival was Iran's Minister of Science, Research and Technology Mansour Gholami. Noting that the festival aimed to introduce the customs and the cultures of different nations to one another, Gholami said: "Iran has long been a cradle of science and knowledge." 101/211/207
