In a meeting with Russian Prime Minister in Tehran:

Tehran (IP) - The President of Iran considered the agreement to turn Iran into a transit hub and gas hub of the region an excellent example of joint cooperation between Iran and Russia in order to secure the interests of the two countries and to create sustainable development, convergence growth, and economic leap in the region.

Iran Press/Iran news: In the meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin this evening, Iran's President, Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the exchange of diplomatic delegations between Iran and Russia has led to the development of interactions and communications between the two countries, as well as strengthening cooperation to speed up the implementation of agreements.

Pezeshkian added: We believe that if the important joint projects of Iran and Russia reach the implementation stage, they will create great capacities in the field of dealing with oppressive sanctions on the two countries.
Pezeshkian also stated that regional cooperation based on international organizations such as BRICS and Shanghai will increase the power of independent countries such as Iran, Russia, and China to confront the unilateralism of the United States.

The President of Iran emphasized that the escalation of crimes and tension generated by the Zionist regime, which is taking place with the direct support of the United States and to lay the groundwork for the expansion of the American presence in the region, is considered a common threat to the interests of the countries and nations of the region, which requires greater solidarity and cooperation to deal with.

In this meeting, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin also expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with the President, and conveying the warm greetings of Vladimir Putin to Pezeshkian, he emphasized his country's interest in strengthening and expanding interactions and exchanges with the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially in the fields of energy, industry, transportation, agriculture, healthcare, and cultural affairs.

Mishustin said: Despite the very good increase in trade exchanges in the last few months, there are still great capacities in the two countries to ensure mutual benefits, which we want to activate. 

The Prime Minister of Russia also emphasized the need to expand cooperation between Tehran and Moscow to realize the new world order for the benefit of all the countries of the world and said to the President of Iran: We are looking forward to your presence in Russia to participate in the BRICS summit and also to sign the comprehensive strategic agreement between two countries.

Mikhail Mishustin also expressed concern about the escalation of tensions in the region with the support of the Americans and said that the United States seeks to secure its interests by supporting the increase in tensions and conflicts in different parts of the world, and the independent countries of the region, including Iran and Russia, should speed up their cooperation to deal with such actions. 204
